Himari Imai has a not very happy life with her husband; he buries himself in work all day and then ends up being grumpy and upset with her, making her life increasingly boring. Therefore, she decided to return to her husband's hometown to take care of her father-in-law, who is disabled and has to use a wheelchair due to an accident. However, he is very easy-going and cheerful, and Himari finds joy being with her father-in-law, and gradually they develop a deeper affection for each other, a feeling that goes beyond the typical mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship.
